Mirella Domenich

Mirella Domenich, 46, is the mother of Bianca, 2, and a journalist by training. She has been working in the socio-environmental development field since 2003, both in Brazil and across Sub-Saharan Africa.


With her first social enterprise, Minibus Media, co-founded in 2004, Mirella co-led the creation of Angola’s first independent youth media unit, Omunga’s Brigade of Journalists, which remains active today.


She has led international NGOs in Brazil, such as Ashoka and streetfootballworld, as well as the Instituto Dara. She is also the co-creator of the social technology Decolagem, which uses human and artificial intelligence to combat poverty and is implemented by the NGO Gerando Falcões in Brazilian favelas.


Mirella has worked with UNESCO in Paris and the UNDP in Guinea-Bissau. She was also a member of the UN Women’s Civil Society Advisory Group in Brazil. Currently, she serves as a board member for three NGOs: Instituto Cerrados, As Josefinas, and Rede Fonseca.


She holds a master’s degree in International Relations and has MBAs in Entrepreneurship & New Business Management and Human Development for Managers.

With 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Pedro specializes in fundraising and project management. He currently leads the Deb Anti-Racist AI Project at ID_BR and works as a consultant in fundraising and leadership development.


Pedro is also the co-founder of Sul – Intelligence for Impact, a social enterprise dedicated to revolutionizing the institutional development of impact-driven organizations through the use of artificial and human intelligence. His work focuses on creating AI solutions that address the internal challenges of NGOs and social enterprises.


At PUC-Rio, he coordinates and teaches the course AI for Socio-Environmental Impact Management.
